Sam Cowan is a Partner within the of the Sanford Rose Associates Healthcare Services Practice. Sam boasts over 22 years of experience within the healthcare industry. Prior to joining Sanford Rose Associates, he held executive and consultative sales and business development positions with MedPlus, ProxyMed/MedAvant, ePhysician, Healtheon/WebMD/emdeon, a4, Information Resource Engineering, Inc. and Citation Computer Systems, Inc. (CCS). The primary focus during his career has been in developing and managing business relationships and strategic partnerships with major hospital, healthcare management, pharmaceutical, provider and payer organizations, resulting in growth return and revenue success for the company.

Sam holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Microbiology, with additional graduate course work in Business, Microbiology, and Biochemistry from the University of Tennessee. He also has professional certifications in sales management training and communications.
