Ryan's practice focuses on civil litigation, including an emphasis in the areas of product liability, premises liability, construction defect, medical malpractice, auto, insurance defense, and commercial litigation. He has litigated cases in state and federal court, including the Court of Appeals, and has considerable experience in motions practice, depositions, settlement negotiations and ADR, retention of experts, witness preparation and case management. He was admitted to practice in Colorado in 2000. Ryan is a member of the Colorado Bar Association, the Denver Bar Association, the Colorado Defense Lawyers Association, the Defense Research Institute and Phi Beta Kappa. Prior to joining Hall & Evans, Ryan completed a judicial clerkship with the Supreme Court of Colorado, and worked at the Office of the Attorney General. He received his Juris Doctor from the University of Colorado School of Law in 2000 where he was published and served as an editor for the journal. Ryan received his Bachelor of Arts Degree from Kansas State University in 1996, with a Major in Political Science. Ryan lectures on a host of litigation related topics. In 2007, he had the honor of presenting a continuing legal education program to other attorneys on issues concerning insurance defense litigation and coverage disputes. He has also lectured legal professionals on legal analysis and writing. |
