Ryan Hedges is an associate at Eimer Stahl Klevorn & Solberg LLP. He has experience in a wide variety of litigation matters in state and federal trial courts and courts of appeal, including contract disputes and business torts, constitutional challenges to state law, securities fraud and antitrust matters. Representative cases include the following: Defending a chemical manufacturer in an alleged price-fixing conspiracy class action in federal court. Defending a gasoline supplier in an alleged price-discrimination lawsuit under the Robinson-Patman Act. Defending California’s Holocaust Victim Insurance Relief Act of 1999 from federal constitutional challenges. American Insurance Association, et al. v. Garamendi, 539 U.S. 396 (2003). Defending a privately held venture capital firm in an alleged billion dollar breach of oral partnership action. Shooker v. Superior Court, 4 Cal. Rptr. 3d 334 (Cal. Ct. App. 2003). Before joining Eimer Stahl, Ryan served as a law clerk to the Honorable Kim McLane Wardlaw on the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. Prior to his clerkship, Ryan was an associate with the Los Angeles law firm of Alschuler Grossman Stein & Kahan LLP. Ryan graduated in 2001 from the University of Southern California School of Law, where he served as Editor-in-Chief of the Southern California Law Review. He received his undergraduate degree from Northwestern University in 1993. Ryan is admitted to practice in Illinois and California. |
