Ryan A. Gandre is a Manager in the Valuation & Financial Opinions Group. Mr. Gandre has extensive experience providing a broad range of business valuation and financial advisory services for public and private enterprises. Mr. Gandre specializes in the valuation of debt and equity instruments, enterprise valuations, and intangible asset valuations for financial reporting (e.g., SFAS 141 purchase price allocations, SFAS 142 goodwill impairment testing, and SFAS 157 mark-to-market valuations of private equity portfolio companies), corporate strategic planning, estate and gift taxation, shareholder disputes, Subchapter C to Subchapter S conversions, marital dissolution, and other tax, corporate, and litigation matters. In addition, Mr. Gandre has considerable experience providing fairness and solvency opinions for going-private transactions, mergers and acquisitions, significant financing events (e.g., dividend recapitalizations), and other corporate transactions. Mr. Gandre has served a broad range of industries including asset management, automotive, banking, broadcasting, business services, commercial printing, computer software, consumer products, energy, engineering, entertainment, health care, manufacturing, packaging, pharmaceuticals, publishing, real estate brokerage, security services, telecommunications, and transportation and logistics. His experience spans a diverse client base, from regional middle-market businesses to multi-billion-dollar enterprises, private equity funds and hedge funds, law firms, accounting firms, and financial institutions. Mr. Gandre has also written articles on valuation issues and techniques in the context of financial reporting assignments, and he has presented at continuing education seminars on the topics of valuation and transaction advisement. Mr. Gandre graduated cum laude from Miami University with a BS in Finance. While at Miami University, he was awarded the W. Pat Roudebush Scholar-Athlete of the Year Award for his achievements as both a student and varsity athlete. Mr. Gandre has earned the right to use the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and he is a member of the CFA Institute, the CFA Society of Chicago, and the Business Valuation Association of Chicago. |
