Russell J. Thompson serves as Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Thompson has considerable experience in the mortgage and consumer finance industries. From 1994 to 1999, Mr. Thompson was a Vice President at Bank of America in San Francisco where he worked with Mr. Lund, and, from 1998 to 1999, was the manager of mortgage capital markets where he was responsible for the acquisition, sale and securitization of mortgage assets. Mr. Thompson managed Bank of America’s private label mortgage securitization programs (BAMSI and BoAMS) which issued more than $6.5 billion in mortgage-backed securities. From 1994 to 1996, Mr. Thompson served as Bank of America’s servicing trader, establishing a servicing acquisition program in which the bank purchased approximately $25 billion of mortgage servicing rights. Prior to his tenure at Bank of America, Mr. Thompson served as Chief Financial Officer of Homeowners Mortgage Acceptance Corporation from 1990 to 1994. Most recently, from 1999 to 2002, Mr. Thompson was Senior Vice President and, before that, Vice President, Corporate Development, at Providian Financial, in which capacity he was responsible for credit card portfolio acquisition and sales. In 2002, he managed the sales of over $10 billion in credit card assets. Mr. Thompson is a Chartered Financial Analyst and has written extensively on finance, focusing primarily on real estate, and has been a regular contributor to Barron’s. |
