Dr. Firman is an emergency medicine residency trained, board certified physician with over 16 years experience in emergency medicine. He served for eight years as medical director at Camden Clark Hospital, Cortland Memorial Hospital and Mansfield Hospital and for the past five years, he served as Northeast Regional Director for EMP. Dr. Firman served as Vice-President of the Medical Staff at Cortland Memorial Hospital and was a Cortland County Delegate for the Medical Society State of New York. He is a board certified Diplomat of the American Board of Emergency Medicine and is a Fellow in the American College of Emergency Physicians. He is a member of the National and New York Chapters of the American College of Emergency Physicians, the American Medical Association and served on the New York ACEP Practice Management Committee. Dr. Firman was also a member of the Regional Emergency Medical Advisory Committee for two years. In addition he has served as medical director for numerous EMS squads in central New York. Dr. Firman holds a Bachelor’s degree from Rochester Institute of Technology and a Doctor of Medicine from The State University of New York at Syracuse Health Sciences Centers College of Medicine. He performed his residency and internship at Akron General Medical Center. |
