In January 2003, Russ Jamerson was appointed by the Kinesix board of directors as President and CEO of Kinesix Software, after a 10-year career with the company. Mr. Jamerson has been in commercial software development for the past 15 years and has a strong technical background, as well as experience in sales, marketing and operations. Mr. Jamerson also founded Xtensible Technologies, Inc (XTI, a software development company focused on XML technologies). The products developed by this company were eventually rolled into the Kinesix Software suite of products. Prior to Kinesix and XTI, Mr. Jamerson worked for the Space Shuttle Ascent Flight Design group of Rockwell Space Operations in Houston,TX. Key areas of involvement included shuttle contingency abort scenarios as well as astronaut training and simulation. Mr. Jamerson spent additional time at NASA Ames Research Center in Mountain View, CA. His work there involved machine vision and applications of automated "nap of the earth" flight control for rotary wing aircraft. Mr. Jamerson attended the Georgia Institute of Technology and graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Aerospace Engineering. This was then followed by a Masters of Aerospace Engineering with a specialization in automatic control theory. Mr. Jamerson is also a member of ISA and AIAA and has been published in numerous process control magazines. |
