Royce Jordan is Director of Wireless Development at Discrete Wireless. Joining Discrete in 2006, Royce brings over 20 years experience in the development of Wireless data applications and a history of developing fault tolerant, mission critical, scalable wireless solutions. Royce is a proven innovator. He has been awarded 10 US Patents related to Wireless Data. In 1999, Royce was named Innovator of the Year by BellSouth.
Previously, Royce was Director of Product Development for Velocita Wireless - A Sprint/Nextel Company where he was responsible for development and support of all wireless data applications within the company. Prior to joining Velocita, Royce held various Director level positions in Cingular, BellSouth Wireless Data, and RAM Mobile Data. He was responsible for developing some of the first mobile data applications in the country. In the early 1990's, his work inventing and developing Interactive Messaging led him to work with Research in Motion to develop the wireless data protocols and email gateways for the product that is now known as Blackberry.
Royce has a Bachelor of Science in computer science from the University of Georgia. Royce has also done post graduate work in business administration at Georgia State University and Emory Goizueta School of Business. |
