Equipped with the tools of the trade, Roy Dalene was called by the entrepreneurial spirit to join his father, Hugo Dalene, and brother, Frank Dalene, as vice president of Telemark Construction in 1984. Since the move, Dalene has aided his family in building one of the nation’s elite companies in custom, luxury home building and remodeling.
After receiving his Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering from Polytechnic Institute of New York, Dalene jumped into the work force. Working for Bechtel Power Corporation, he concentrated in structural design and construction of electrical power plants.
Dalene brings practical application skills of the trade to the company. His managerial strengths on the job sites and commercial construction experience have been fundamental to the progression and success of many Telemark properties.
Away from the construction site, Dalene is a member of the East Hampton Town Home Improvement Licensing Review Board and has served as the chairman since 1995. During his tenure as chairman, he spearheaded an overhaul of the town’s Home Improvement Code making it more comprehensive to the current home improvement environment as well as adding a proactive stipulation to continuing education. He shared his knowledge and experiences by serving on the Advisory Board for Custom Builders Magazine and Custom Builder National Conference and Expo.
He has spoken to groups at the Custom Builder Conference and Expo on many occasions on different topics including: "Million Dollar Secrets," "The Builder's Service Station: How to Generate Revenue Maintaining the Homes You Build," "Innovations in Building Luxury Homes: New Construction Techniques, and "Pre-Primed Products Cover-Up: What You Don't Know Could Hurt You."
Dalene married Lori DeNatale in 1980 and together they have raised three children. |
