ROY T.K. THUNG has served as Chief Executive Officer and President of Independence Holding Company (IHC), a publicly-held holding company engaged principally in the life and health insurance business, since January 2000. From July 1999 through January 2000, he served as President of IHC. For more than five years prior to July 1999, Mr. Thung served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of IHC. He has served as the Executive Vice President of Geneve Corporation, a privately-held diversified financial holding company, for more than the past five years. Mr. Thung has served as a director of American Independence Corp. (AMIC), a publicly-held holding company which, through its subsidiaries, is in the insurance and reinsurance business, since July 2002, and as the Chief Executive Officer and President of AMIC since November 2002. |
