Roxanne Walker Director, Member Services Roxanne Walker serves as the Director of Member Services and is responsible for Automation Alley’s member activities, strategic development and policy implementation. She also leads Automation Alley’s education-focused initiatives, oversees its Web site and manages support staff. Walker officially joined Automation Alley in May 2007. In 2006, she was named as chairperson of Automation Alley’s Workforce Development Committee, where she leveraged her experience with industry and education to expand the committee focus on workforce transition issues and the expansion of K-16 collaboration. Her prior leadership positions include working as a corporate relations executive for Kettering University, a development officer for the University of Michigan-Flint and an account executive for Electronic Data Systems. Walker’s accomplishments include recruiting key organizations such as Society of Plastics Engineers-Detroit Section, Genesee Intermediate School District, Xerox Corporation, and DASI Solutions as corporate partners at Kettering University; increasing recruiting contacts by over 5,000 persons during her first year at the University of Michigan-Flint; and producing $75 million in sales at Electronic Data Systems, which led to her inclusion in the prestigious Sales Inner Circle. Walker received a bachelor of science degree in business administration from Ferris State University and a master of business information technology from Walsh College. She values community service and is a member of Quota International of Flint. |
