Rowland Hayler is Vice President of our International Operations, based in the United Kingdom.
Rowland's business improvement and international experience were developed during his fifteen years at American Express where he served in a variety of leadership roles on large-scale process improvement, compliance and reengineering initiatives.
As the Vice President of Six Sigma Application, Rowland led a team of Master Black Belts whose mission was to expand the relevance and application of Six Sigma across the American Express company worldwide. During this time, he worked closely with senior leaders across two of AXP’s four global business units to shape and execute their Six Sigma deployments, resulting in multi-million dollar benefits. Rowland also led the in-house development of the company’s Six Sigma Design methodology and curriculum, its Six Sigma Process Management approach, and co-developed a set of Six Sigma Management Disciplines for everyday project use.
Since joining Pivotal, Rowland has led Lean Six Sigma engagements with clients including adidas-Soloman, Agere Systems, BP, Callaway Golf, Halifax Bank of Scotland, Marks & Spencer Money, Marlborough Stirling, Novartis and Swisscard. In addition, he has worked with executives and project teams on client engagements at Carlson Marketing, Cisco Systems and Overseas Chinese Banking Corporation.
As a trained Master Black Belt, ISO9000 auditor and Malcolm Baldrige Award internal company assessor, Rowland brings a valuable mix of practical business knowledge, strong leadership and technical expertise in driving organizational change.
Rowland recently co-authored "What is Six Sigma Process Management?" and "Six Sigma for Financial Services" for McGraw-Hill. He also regularly contributes at leading Six Sigma conferences in Europe and Asia.
