Dr. Elsenbaumer is the department chair for both the science and engineering academic programs at The University of Texas at Arlington (UTA). He was recently appointed Interim Director of Nano-Fabrication Research and Teaching Facility. Additionally, Dr. Elsenbaumer helped establish the $2 million endowed professorship in chemistry and biochemistry stemming from $1 million challenge grant from The Welch Foundation. At UTA, he developed the complete infrastructure for the MSE program wherein he secured a significant annual budget, office and laboratory space, clerical and technical staff, new tenure-track faculty, and doubled the size of the graduate program in four years.
Commercially, Dr. Elsenbaumer discovered, developed, and launched a commercial product called VersiconTM while at Allied Signal. He has 25 years of professional experience with 17 years of diverse management experience and has authored or co-authored 85 publications. Additionally, Dr. Elsenbaumer has been awarded 30 U.S. Patents. He received a doctorate in 1978 in chemistry from Stanford University. |
