Ronald (Ron) R. Hornish is vice president and general manager of Sensor Systems, Government Systems for Rockwell Collins. Hornish is responsible for program execution of business and market development strategies across Government System's sensors and navigation systems global business base. He was named to the position in February 2004.
Previously, Hornish served as vice president and general manager of Integrated Applications & Navigation Systems for Government Systems, a position he was appointed to in June 2001. Hornish joined the company in 1979 and has held positions of increasing responsibility, including Vice President of Engineering for Government Systems.
A native of Defiance, Ohio, Hornish earned a bachelor of science degree in Electrical Engineering from Tri-State University, Angola, Indiana. He has completed work toward a Master of Business Administration degree at Seattle University and the University of Iowa.
Hornish is a member of the American Helicopter Society (AHS), Association of the United States Army (AUSA), Navy League of the United States (NLUS), Army Aviation Association of American (AAAA), Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA) and the Institute of Navigation (ION).
He is also a director for the boards of Vision Systems International, Integrated Guidance Systems, LLC, Elmcrest Country Club, and a trustee for the Boys & Girls Club of Cedar Rapids.
