Ron Sege is President and Chief Operating Officer of 3Com. He is responsible for the company’s day-to-day operations outside of China accelerating the global adoption of products developed by the company’s H3C operations and ensuring the company provides world-class service and support to its customers and partners.
Before joining 3Com Sege was President and CEO of Tropos Networks a provider of wireless broadband networks from 2004 to 2008. He is currently on Tropos’ Board of Advisors. Prior to Tropos Sege was President and CEO of Ellacoya Networks Inc. a provider of broadband service optimization solutions based on deep packet inspection technology. During his career Sege also served as Executive Vice President of Lycos Inc. the Internet search engine. He previously spent nine years at 3Com Corporation from 1989-1998 serving in a variety of senior management roles including Executive Vice President Global Systems Business Unit.
Sege is a frequent speaker on networking financial market and industry trends and issues at major trade shows and conferences around the world. He has more than 20 years of experience in managing high-growth businesses in the networking industry.
Sege holds an MBA from Harvard University and a bachelor’s degree from Pomona College. |
