In December of 2000, Ron Harman became the President of Tuthill Transport Technologies (TTT). TTT is a merger of Fluidrive, Inc. of Brookston, IN and Reyco Industries, Inc. of Springfield/Mt. Vernon, MO and Grimsby, Ontario.
Mr. Harman earned a technical degree in England and a business degree in Canada. Ron joined Reyco Canada in 1976 with 12 years experience in metal fabrication. In his early years with the company, Ron worked in Inventory Control and Costing, Purchasing and Production. In 1987, he was appointed Plant Manager and served in this capacity until 1991 when he became Vice President and General Manager at Reyco Canada. Ron was promoted to President of Reyco Canada in 1997 and was currently the Vice President of Strategic Business Development after the merger.
Ron’s close customer involvement throughout his career has resulted in a strong industry and product knowledge including both domestic and International markets and currently maintains active memberships in many industry related organizations.
After having achieved company wide certification of it’s Quality System to the ISO 9001 standard, Tuthill Transport Technologies has embarked on an aggressive program of introducing Lean Manufacturing methods to it’s three manufacturing facilities located in Brookston In, Mount Vernon Mo, and Grimsby Ont. and Ron will ensure the on-going dedication to the success of both of these programs.
A lifelong interest in nautical activities resulted in Ron’s involvement with the Canadian Coast Guard Auxiliary where he was a director, instructor and crew chief, performing emergency search and rescue operations on Lake Ontario.
