Mr. Bissinger brings over 30 years experience in operations, finance, imaging technology, manufacturing, business development and mergers and acquisitions to Alpha Innotech. Before joining the company he was a consultant providing executive level management to emerging life sciences companies. Prior to becoming a consultant, as CFO he took Lexar, a digital imaging company, through their initial public offering on the NASDAQ and helped build their revenues to $90 million. As CFO and Vice President of Business Development he was part of the team that drove the turnaround of another NASDAQ-listed company, Ultradata, resulting in sustained profit growth and the ultimate cash sale of the company for a 50% market premium.
Mr. Bissinger has also served in executive roles overseeing international operations, finance, sales, marketing and product management, and held corporate officer positions at Accela and PointBase. He began his career in technology development and commercialization with Exxon, General Electric and Siemens. Mr. Bissinger holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Clarkson University, an M.S. in Chemical Engineering with an emphasis on semiconductor processing from the University of California, Berkeley, and an M.B.A. from the University of Denver. A strong advocate of science education, he also serves as an advisor to NASA on the upcoming Kepler mission’s public outreach program. |
