Swiss national. Member of the Board of Directors since May 2007, member of the Nomination and Compensation Committee, and member of the Corporate Governance Committee. Term of office ends on the day of the 2008 General Meeting of Shareholders.
Rolf Dörig graduated with a PhD in law from the University of Zurich, and was subsequently admitted to the bar. Joining Credit Suisse in 1986, he held a number of executive positions in various areas of banking and in different geographical markets. In 1997 he was nominated Chief of Staff and Chief Communications Officer. As a member of the Group Executive Board, he was assigned responsibility for Swiss corporate and retail banking from 2000 onwards. In 2002 he held the position of Chairman Switzerland.
Rolf Dörig has been Group Chief Executive Officer of Swiss Life Group since November 2002.
