Roland has over 24 years of international financial experience, primarily in auditing and audit-related consulting for clients in automotive and various other industries. Professional Experience Most recently, Roland worked as an independent auditor and consultant with a strong focus on the Middle East. As Managing Director of KPMG Al Fozan & Bannaga, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, a joint venture between the three national partners and KPMG International, Roland was responsible for the integration of the firm into the KPMG network, business development, finance and administration. During his tenure, the firm developed rapidly and became the third largest international accounting firm in Saudi Arabia with more than 100 professionals and major clients such as Saudi Aramco, General Dynamics, Halliburton, Nestle, Phillips, Saudi Arabian Airlines, Saudi Telecom, Siemens, Saudi British Bank and National Commercial Bank. Prior to his assignment in Saudi Arabia, Roland was engaged in the Eastern part of Germany and was responsible for the transition of industrial clients and privatization projects after the German reunification. From 1994 to 2001, he was Managing Partner of the KPMG Erfurt office, having two fellow partners and 45 professionals. Roland started his career as an audit assistant of the Commercial Department of Peat Marwick Mitchell, the predecessor of KPMG. He was promoted to the Management Group after five years of service and became Equity Partner in 1994.
