Rohit Pursram is a Vice President in the firm’s Corporate Advisory Business.
Prior to joining Evercore, Mr. Pursram served as Senior Director of Mergers & Acquisitions & Strategy at The McGraw-Hill Companies, where he oversaw strategic planning and M&A activities for The McGraw-Hill Companies’ $1 billion media segment. Mr. Pursram has also worked in a variety of roles at Time Warner as an Associate in the Corporate Strategy Group and Senior Associate in the Digital Media Group. Previously, Mr. Pursram also served as an analyst in Lehman Brothers’ Mergers & Acquisitions group overseeing Media & Telecom clients.
At Evercore, Mr. Pursram has focused on technology, telecom and media clients, advising Scientific Atlanta on its sale to Cisco, Monster Worldwide on the sale of its TMP Adcomms subsidiary to Veronis Suhler, IntercontinentalExchange on its acquisition of New York Board of Trade, Silver Lake Partners on the sale of Instinet to Nomura, Reuters on its FX Marketspace JV with the CME, Morningstar on its acquisition of Standard and Poor’s Mutual Funds data business and Infocrossing on its purchase of Level 3 subsidiary iStructure. Other transaction experience includes the sale of Bertelsmann subsidiary Gruner & Jahr’s printing assets to World Color Press Holdings, and the sale of Century Graphics to Big Flower Press Holdings. He has also worked on a range of financings including the IPO of CanTV and a private placement for Teletrac.
Mr. Pursram has a Bachelor of Arts with Distinction in Economics and Social Studies from Wesleyan University where he was a Davenport Scholar and an M.B.A from Harvard Business School where he was recipient of the Timken International Fellowship. He is also co-founder of the Young Patrons Society of Lincoln Center. |
