Mr. Thompson currently provides executive leadership to the 128 local chapters of the Association of the United States Army (AUSA) throughout the world. Mr. Thompson commanded at all levels throughout the Army including field artillery transportation and logistics units. He served three separate assignments on the Department of Army Staff Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Army Financial Management and Comptroller and Director of the Army Budget. Mr. Thompson completed his military career as the Deputy Commander in Chief United States Transportation Command. In this position he was responsible for the daily operations supporting all military and commercial transportation for the entire Department of Defense. Mr. Thompson holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the United States Military Academy a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Syracuse University and a Master’s degree in National Security and Strategic Studies from the Naval War College. He attended the Army’s Command and General Staff College and the Naval War College. |
