Roger C. Tang is president Ohio/Pennsylvania Region for Verizon Wireless.
In his current position, Tang is responsible for the strategic direction of the Region including business planning and implementation, financial targets, developing and initiating marketing plans and sales goals. His main function is to ensure the Region meets the corporate objectives for growth with regard to gross operating margin and subscriber accretion.
Prior to becoming regional vice president Pittsburgh for Bell Atlantic Mobile in July, 1998, Tang had been executive director of store sales and operations for the company’s Northeast Region. He entered the wireless communications industry in 1988 when he joined MetroMobile in Greenville, South Carolina, which merged with Bell Atlantic Mobile in 1992. Tang held a number of finance and operations positions in the firm’s Southeast Region before moving to the Northeast Region in 1996.
