Mr. Goulette has over 30 years of work experience, focused on improving the performance of large, complex organizations. He began his career as an Industrial Engineer at 3M Company, where he spent 10 years learning the principles of collaborative engineering and world-class operations management. During his subsequent 20 plus years of consulting experience, he has gained an executive’s perspective, having managed business areas and strategic accounts, led strategic planning efforts, served as a CFO, developed operational improvement plans and managed large multi-year programs.
Mr. Goulette started his career in 1971 as an Industrial Engineer at 3M Company. He subsequently earned an MBA in Finance from Northwestern University and gained significant experience in manufacturing engineering, operations management and new product development. In 1981, he joined the corporate office of Lear Siegler, Inc., assisting with mergers, acquisitions, consolidations and operational improvements. During 1984, Mr. Goulette was a key member of the management team of the Los Angeles Olympic Games.
Mr. Goulette began a career in Aerospace & Defense in 1985, joining Lear Seigler’s corporate office. In this role, he assisted operating units in developing strategic plans, evaluating acquisitions and implementing operational improvements. In 1987, he joined Ernst & Young’s consulting business in Southern California. He managed several large accounts and led project teams in the areas of engineering, finance, operations and information systems management. One of his highlights at Ernst & Young is the year he spent as an interim CFO for a large defense contractor. In that role, he led the finance organization and succeeded in making finance an integral and highly valued part of the management team. He also assisted in building Ernst & Young’s Southern California Consulting practice in the early 1990s, and was one of the leaders of that practice for several years.
In 2004, Mr. Goulette joined SM&A as a Vice President and Account Executive. He has been effective in applying his years of consulting and business development experience to assist his clients in determining effective strategies, building strong teams and developing winning proposals. He brings a wealth of experience in project management, account management, business development and business management to the Caneum team. |
