Roger Bamford has with Oracle since 1984 and has had the title of Principal Architect for the Oracle database since 1988. He has led many innovations during his tenure, lately conceiving and driving the technology that became Real Application Clusters, the only scalable clustered OLTP database in the market. Before Oracle, Mr. Bamford co-founded a relational database software company, and previously had spent 5 years in IBM Research and IBM's Office Products Advanced Technology group. Mr. Bamford holds a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University. |
