Roger practices in the areas of general litigation, community association law, bankruptcy and creditor's rights law, municipal government law, government relations and election law. Roger is admitted to practice in all state courts as well as the U.S. District Court for the Eastern and Middle Districts of North Carolina. He is a member of the Community Associations Institute, and lectures at the CAI's legal seminars. Beginning in 2004, Roger began serving a three-year term on the Board of Directors of the NC Community Associations Institute. He also serves as Special Counsel for the Town of Wake Forest Planning and Zoning Board. He represents clients in a broad range of government-related activities, including lobbying and legislative analysis. Roger has represented clients in all aspects of election law, including legislative redistricting, campaign finance and regulation and election challenges. In 2004, Roger was appointed by the Speaker of the House to the Electronic Voting Systems Study Commission.
Roger has been with the firm since 1987, previously serving as a legal counsel to the Hon. James G. Martin, the Governor of North Carolina. Roger graduated with honors from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington and received his J.D. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
