Mr. Hawley has served as a director of Targeted Genetics since August 2005. In July 2003, he joined InterMune, a biopharmaceutical company focused on therapies in hepatology and pulmonology and currently serves as Executive Vice President, Commercial and Technical Operations. Prior to joining InterMune, Mr. Hawley served as Chief Commercial Officer at Prometheus Laboratories, Inc., a specialty pharmaceutical company, from October 2002 to July 2003. From 2001 to 2002, Mr. Hawley served as General Manager & Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Elan Pharmaceuticals, Inc. From 1987 to 2001, Mr. Hawley held a broad range of management positions in commercial operations, alliance/partnership management, regional sales and corporate finance at GlaxoSmithKline (GSK), one of the world’s largest pharmaceutical companies. His most recent position at GSK was Vice President of Sales-CNS/GI Division. Prior to joining GSK in treasury management, he held various financial management positions from 1976 to 1987 with Marathon Oil Company, including serving four years in London, England. While at Marathon he was a certified treasury manager and a certified public accountant. Mr. Hawley holds a B.S. in accounting from Eastern Illinois University. |
