Porter served on the Zions Bancorporation board of directors from 1986 to 1988 and rejoined the board in 1993 following a period of public service. He is the IBM Professor of Business and Government at the Harvard University Kennedy School of Government and Master of Dunster House. In addition, he is a Senior Scholar at the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars and faculty chairman of Harvard's Program for Senior Managers in Government. Porter served in senior economic policy positions in the Ford, Reagan, and George H.W. Bush White Houses. He received his B.A. degree from Brigham Young University and studied as a Rhodes Scholar and Woodrow Wilson Fellow at Oxford University, where he received a B.Phil. degree. Porter received his M.A. and Ph.D. degrees from Harvard. |
