Mr. Plank, 51, has served Apache in varying capacities for over 25 years. He was appointed executive vice president and chief financial officer in May 2000, having been vice president and chief financial officer since July 1997. Previous vice president positions include planning and corporate development, corporate planning, external affairs, and corporate communications.
Mr. Plank joined Apache in 1981 after receiving a bachelor’s degree in economics from Colgate University in Hamilton, New York, and his master’s in business administration at night from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota.
Mr. Plank is a member of the board of directors of Parker Drilling Company and chairs its audit committee. He is a past president of the Texas Independent Producers & Royalty Owners Association, and also served as a director of the Oklahoma Independent Petroleum Association and the Domestic Petroleum Council.
Civic activities include board positions with Wyoming’s Ucross Foundation, which benefits artists and writers, and Houston’s Alley Theatre. |
