Over the past 17 years, Rodney Lunn has developed over 150 ASCs throughout the U.S. For many, he is considered the original pioneer in taking the concept of Ambulatory Surgery Centers and transforming it into a practical, successful business model in dozens of states. When he started Practice Development Associates, Inc. in 1987, it was one of the first companies dedicated to the development of surgery centers, opening them in 26 states.
Lunn was a founder of AmSurg Corp., where he served as a Director and as the Senior Vice President responsible for development of de nova centers. Mr. Lunn has also served as Controller for MEDINC, as Vice President of Finance and Chief Financial Officer of American Medical Centers, the owner and manager of acute care hospitals. He also has experience in the HMO industry, having previously served as CFO of INA (now Cigna) Healthplan of Texas and Vice President of HealthAmerica of Florida. |
