Rod Schroeder is executive vice president, Crop Nutrients and Heartland Division, a position he has held since December, 2006. He is responsible for management oversight of the company's Heartland operating division, along with responsibility for the supply, distribution and marketing of more than seven million tons of crop nutrients sold annually.
Schroeder joined the company in August, 2002 as vice president, crop nutrients, and was later reassigned in September, 2003 to vice president, Heartland Division.
Prior to joining Agriliance, Rod was president and chief executive office at Aurora Cooperative, Aurora, Nebraska. He began his cooperative career as an accountant, but quickly rose through the ranks. Under his leadership, the cooperative grew from three to 24 locations, with annual sales of $195 million dollars. He was also instrumental in bringing farmers and their local cooperatives together to form Nebraska Energy, an ethanol production company.
Rod has served on a number of industry management boards and committees for The Fertilizer Institute, Farmers Commodities Corporation, Co-op Mutual Insurance Company, Co-op Retirement, Nebraska Energy Cooperative, Preferred Popcorn, Stauffer Seeds and Heritage Bank.
Rod grew up on a diversified grain farm in northeast Nebraska. He earned an associate's degree in professional accounting from the Lincoln School of Commerce, Lincoln, Nebraska. |
