Robyne developed her first online system back in 1986. Working at the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB), she designed a proprietary online system for the NAHB leadership first on The Source, then CompuServe and, in the mid-90s, on the Internet. Nowadays Robyne plays a key technical role in each VisionFoundry project and focuses the team on UI design, usability, information architecture, and taxonomy development. She has designed dozens of enterprise portals, corporate intranets, e-commerce sites, and finger-operated touch screen UIs for corporate, not-for-profit and government clients. In addition to her portal experience, Robyne is also an experienced e-commerce designer. She has an enviable track record for improving conversion rates for not-for-profit bookstores increasing sales 100-fold through improved usability, organic search engine optimization (SEO), and integration with backend enterprise databases. On any given day when she’s not at a client site you’ll usually find Robyne multi-tasking behind a touch operated Panasonic Toughbook and Mac Book creating UIs and developing requirements. She is passionate about learning new technologies and believes Rich Internet Applications (RIA) possess untapped usability potential. |
