Robin Tauck is a third-generation President and CEO of Tauck World Discovery. With 27 years experience in the global travel industry, Robin is a Board Officer and chairs Tauck’s Executive Group and Strategic Planning. She recently instituted Brand Steering and World of Giving Advisory Boards.
Robin oversees strategy and growth including expansions into all International and Exotic destinations, Tauck at Sea cruising, Tauck river cruising, Tauck Bridges family programs, Tauck Events and Global Alliances. A proponent of one-on-one marketing in the upscale market, she fosters Tauck's customer-focused direction and brand loyalty, including strategic agent partnerships and the growth of Tauck’s E-Tauck online efforts.
In 2000, Robin began Tauck's World of Giving, through the Tauck Foundation with philanthropic, volunteerism and heritage grants. Recent awards include the Preserve America Presidential Award (presented at the White House by President and Mrs. Bush), and the Department of the Interior's 2005 Take Pride In America Award, for Tauck's U.S. National Parks partnership, volunteerism & grants.
Robin is active in USTOA, ETOA, ASTA, NTA and also serves on a number of industry boards including the Board and Executive Committee of the Travel Industry of America (TIA). She has been named one of the Most Powerful Women in Travel by Travel Agent magazine for several years.
Prior to the family business, Robin worked for Westin Hotels and Ocean Voyages, an international yacht company. She graduated from the University of Vermont and Stanford University's Executive Program. Robin and her family live in Weston, CT and her daughter Colleen became the first of Tauck's fourth generation to join the company when she trained as a Student Tauck Director in 2005. |
