Robin Martin is a Postdoctoral Research Associate of the Department of Global Ecology at the Carnegie Institution of Washington and of the Department of Geography at the University of Hawaii, Manoa. She received her Ph.D. degree in Geological Sciences from the University of Colorado at Boulder. Robin has two main research areas. Part of her work links physiological and reflectance properties of plant leaves and canopies to assess photosynthetic capacity and stress. Her other research is aimed at understanding the variability of evapotranspiration and carbon fluxes, measured via eddy covariance, in Hawaiian ecosystems following biological invasions. Robin is involved in many of the Asner Lab projects in Hawai'i and in tropical forests worldwide. She coordinates field and laboratory activities in support of the remote sensing studies. She also as serves as a member on the Carnegie Airborne Observatory science operations team. |
