Robin Dahlka, Vision’s Human Resources Manager, joined Vision in the early part of 2006, and today is responsible for employee relations, employee communications, performance management, compensation and benefit administration, and training and development. Robin’s career began in the accounting field, where she quickly progressed into a position as a payroll accountant. Robin’s knowledge of payroll coupled with her experience in the accounting field eventually lead her to a new position with a nationwide mortgage company as Payroll Manager. In this position, Robin reported directly to the company’s Human Resources Manager, and because HR and Payroll were fully integrated, Robin gained human resources knowledge and her interest in the field grew. During her tenure with the mortgage company, Robin was credited with automating both the payroll and commission processes, facilitating and managing the transition to a new HRIS system, and successfully managing several company acquisitions. Having gained much valuable business and human resources experience, Robin decided to leave the mortgage industry and returned to school full-time to complete her bachelor’s degree. While at the University of Baltimore, Robin served as President of Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society, and she graduated with honors, Suma Cum Laude, in 2006. Shortly after completing her degree, Robin joined Vision. Today, her interest and passion for improving the Company and herself are quite high, and she recently obtained her Professional Human Resources Certificate. Robin’s future plans include continuing in the MBA program at the University of Baltimore. Robin resides in Phoenix, MD with her husband and two children. She enjoys attending her children’s sporting activities and spending time with friends and family. Robin also has a love for country music and fine wines, and she is Vision’s self-appointed Wine Connoisseur. But do not worry, she will never be in charge of the music. |
