Robin L. Mayer, CPA, CFE, a principal in the firm and a director of Friedman LLP’s Forensic Accounting Services Group, provides workout and insolvency accounting and consulting services to financially troubled companies, secured and unsecured creditors committees, and court-appointed trustees. She also performs litigation support services, fraud investigations, due diligence services, collateral examinations, financial and operational internal controls analyses for publicly and privately held companies and royalty compliance engagements. Robin’s responsibilities include: Forensic Accounting: Investigating misappropriation of funds and fraudulent billing practices Tracking missing assets Investigating suspect business operations and companies Evaluating risk and the fiduciary integrity of management Analyzing and organizing financial documentation Analyzing insurance claims Performing royalty compliance analyses on behalf of licensors Analyzing business operations, collateral position, fiduciary integrity and financial performance Workout and Bankruptcy: Reviewing debtor accounting control structures Monitoring debtor operations Determining solvency Working with creditors to develop restructuring plans Assisting in litigation matters on behalf of secured lenders, creditors committees, debtors and court- appointed trustees Tony’s foreign tax experience includes tax consulting and compliance assistance to foreign owned U.S. corporations and U.S. owned foreign subsidiaries, including inbound dividend and foreign tax credit planning, U.S. real property holding company and Subpart F and effectively connected income planning. Robin Mayer received a Bachelor of Arts and Master of Science degree in Accounting from The State University of New York at Binghamton. She was licensed as a Certified Public Accountant in 1998.
