Mr. Thomae was named Vice President of Capital Markets in June 2003 with responsibility for the Company's financial markets and investment community contacts, investor relations and corporate communications. He also serves as the Corporate Secretary for The Exploration Company and reports to the President and Chief Executive Officer. He has some 30 years of experience with Big Five accounting firms and in the financial management of oil and gas independents. Mr. Thomae began his association with TXCO in 1995 and was named Vice President-Finance and Chief Financial Officer in 1996. In 1997, he was named Secretary/Treasurer. From 1989 through 1995, Mr. Thomae was self-employed as a management consultant involved in the development of domestic and international oil and gas exploration projects and marketing of refined products. He received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in accounting, with honors, from the University of Texas at Austin in 1974. |
