Mr. Palenzuela was a founder, and from 1991 to 1995 served as General Counsel and Chief Operating Officer, of Community Medical Plan, Inc., a Florida based health maintenance organization ("Community Medical"). In 1994, Community Medical and its wholly owned medical facilities were sold to Foundation Health Corporation. In 1994, Mr. Palenzuela co-founded Community Health Plan of the Rockies, Inc., a health maintenance organization based in Denver , Colorado ("CHPR"). From 1994 to 2003, Mr. Palenzuela served as an officer and director of CHPR . From May 1996 to June 1997, Mr. Palenzuela was a partner with the law firm of Adams, Gallinar, Iglesias & Palenzuela, P.A. Mr. Palenzuela's private law practice was devoted primarily to health care transactional matters and issues involving corporate law and finance, venture capital investments and mergers and acquisitions. Mr. Palenzuela has testified before committees of the U.S. House of Representatives on issues relating to health care reform. Mr. Palenzuela earned his Bachelor in Business Administration and his Juris Doctorate from the University of Miami . |
