Robert Sterr, CFA, joined W.P. Stewart & Co., Inc. in September 2007 as an Analyst, focusing primarily on the technology and telecommunications industries. Prior to joining W.P. Stewart, Mr. Sterr worked as a financial advisor at AXA Advisors, LLC, and as a retail entrepreneur. He began his investment management career in 1996 as a Senior Equity Analyst at Manning & Napier Advisors, Inc., where he covered the media and telecommunications industries and managed two mutual funds. In 2001, Mr. Sterr joined Evergreen Private Asset Management, part of Wachovia Corp., as a Vice President and Senior Partner, covering the media and technology industries. Mr. Sterr began his business career in 1988 with AT&T, where he held a variety of Operations and Marketing positions. Before joining AT&T he spent four years as a Commissioned Officer in the US Navy serving on nuclear submarines. Mr. Sterr holds a B.S. in Industrial Engineering from Rochester (NY) Institute of Technology, an M.S. in Industrial and Systems Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology, and an M.B.A. from Columbia University. |
