Robert Purser joined Sterling Planet as Chief Financial Officer in 2007. As CFO, he is the corporate officer primarily responsible for managing the financial risks and opportunities for the company. Additional responsibilities include financial planning and record-keeping, as well as financial reporting to management. Mr. Purser is well-practiced in such endeavors, having 13 years of progressive experience with publicly and privately held high technology, financial services and telecom companies, ranging from start-up to multi-national. His areas of expertise include the full array of tasks associated with taking a private company public and afterwards managing all required filings with the Securities and Exchange Commission. He is also adept at international operations, acquisitions, purchase price accounting, financial systems implementation, financial planning and analysis, budgeting and compliance with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act, passed in 2002 in response to major corporate and accounting misdeeds. Mr. Purser is the former Vice President of Finance for Infor Global Solutions Inc., where his responsibilities included management of divisional accounting and financial planning in the U.S. and international locations. As senior vice president and corporate controller for Homebanc Corporation, he managed accounting, tax, loan accounting and financial reporting functions. |
