Robert (Bob) Perlman recently retired as a director in the national tax service office of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP. The former vice president of tax, licensing, and customs at Intel Corporation, he also chaired the company's government affairs council. Before joining Intel, Mr. Perlman held positions at Memorex Corporation, Norton Simon, Inc., and Touche Ross and Company. A certified public accountant, Mr. Perlman is an active member of the tax profession. He is currently a member of the tax committee of Financial Executives International (FEI), has served as president of the Tax Executives Institute (TEI), and has been on the board of the National Association of Manufacturers, the American Electronics Association, the Tax Council, and the California Chamber of Commerce. He has also served on the program committee of the Tax Foundation, and was a member of the advisory group to the commissioner of the IRS. Mr. Perlman received a BA degree from Alfred University, where he is a currently a trustee, JD and MBA degrees from Cornell University, and an LLM in taxation from New York University.
