Robert Merton, founder and Chief Science Officer of IFL, earned the 1997 Alfred Nobel Memorial Prize in Economic Sciences in recognition of his contributions to modern finance, particularly in the area of options pricing. A former senior advisor to Salomon Inc. and J.P. Morgan and a co-founder and principal of Long-Term Capital Management, he is the John and Natty McArthur University Professor at the Harvard Business School. Mr. Merton holds a B.S. from Columbia University, an M.S. from California Institute of Technology and a Ph.D. in Economics from Massachusetts Institute of Technology. |
