Robert Johnston is Senior Vice President of Acquisitions located in the Dallas, Texas. Mr. Johnston joined SunAmerica in 1999, and has been involved in affordable housing finance and development since 1987. Prior to joining SunAmerica, he was the Vice President of Development for M. Myers Development, Inc. in Dallas, Texas from 1994 to 1999, during which time he oversaw the site selection, application submission, partnership and mortgage financing closings on LIHTC transactions. From 1990 to 1994, Mr. Johnston was the Manager of Multifamily Programs for the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs where he oversaw both the LIHTC and multifamily tax-exempt bond programs. From 1987 to 1990, he was a mortgage underwriter for Citadel Mortgage Company in San Antonio, Texas where he oversaw the processing and closing of multifamily transactions under HUD 221(d)(4) and 223(f), as well as the Fannie Mae DUS program. Mr. Johnston is a graduate of Texas A&M University and has a Masters in Land Economics and Real Estate from Texas A&M University.
