Bob Gines is Vice President of Internal Audit, North American Region at Novartis Corporation. His is responsible for all internal audit services, including independently evaluating the effectiveness of internal controls of Novartis Group Companies within the United States, Canada and Puerto Rico; managing business relationships for all global headquarters located in the U.S. (Novartis Pharmaceuticals, Novartis Oncology, Novartis Institutes for BioMedical Research, Vaccines and Diagnostics, CIBA Vision, and Novartis Consumer Health); participating in the global Internal Audit Management Committee, and providing summaries of regional audit services for the Audit and Compliance Committee.
Bob, who has over 30 years of internal audit experience, began his career in 1978 working at the Gerber Products Company, where he held positions of increasing responsibility for the financial, operational, and information technology internal audits. With the creation of Novartis in 1996, which at the time included Gerber, Bob joined Internal Audit at Novartis Corporation and assumed leadership of North American Region Internal Audit in March 2001.
Bob has a bachelor's degree in Business with a major in Accounting from Indiana University and is a Certified Internal Auditor. |
