Dr. Robert Gilmour, professor of physiology at Cornell University, brings more than 25 years of experience in cardiac electrophysiology to the board. His research focuses on the identification of the underlying cellular mechanisms for lethal heart rhythm disorders. His lab uses an interdisciplinary approach that bridges the gap between theoretical physics and physiology to investigate cardiac behavior using computational, experimental and clinical approaches. Since early 2004, teams led by Dr. Gilmour and GNS Director of Physiology Jeffrey Fox have been awarded three NIH grants totaling |
