Bob's sixteen year career in environmental and geotechnical engineering and management at Dames & Moore included responsibilities as engineering project manager, assistant to Regional Manager of North America, Managing Partner of Seattle office, and Managing Partner of Northwest operations including Washington, Oregon, and Alaska offices. During six years as Seattle manager, the operations grew from approximately 40 to 80 personnel while maintaining a profitability each year of greater than 25% of gross income. Bob went on to work as a partner at Landau Associates, a northwest environmental consulting firm. He served there on the Board of Directors, as Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer, and Principal Project Manager. As Senior Vice President and CFO, Bob was responsible for all client contract negotiations and professional liability issues. Over the course of his eleven year tenure at Landau Associates, Bob executed his management duties while also managing numerous client projects. During this period the firm grew from 12 to 75 personnel and the gross income grew from approximately $1/2 to $8 million, while maintaining a profitability of more than 30% of gross income and greater than 100% return on investment each year. |
