Robert Darwin practices in the firm’s London office. He is a solicitor qualified in England and Wales and is an associate in the corporate group. Prior to joining Faegre & Benson, Robert trained with and practiced at Slaughter & May. Robert’s practice covers most corporate finance transactions, including main market and AIM IPOs and fundraisings, public and private mergers & acquisitions, private equity deals and general corporate advice. Robert’s clients are based in both the UK and internationally. He has recently acted for clients in the US, China and India. Recent Deals: Acted for Standard Life on its £5 billion demutualisation and flotation on the main market of the London Stock Exchange. Acted for EFG Eurobank in connection with its purchase with its sister company EFG International of the assets of Marble Bar Asset Management for up to $1.3 billion.Acted for Dragon-Ukrainian Properties and Development, a Ukraine-focused property investment company, on its $208 million Placing and Admission to AIM and later $100 million Secondary Placing. Acted for Fairfax I.S. in its role as Broker and Lead Financial Adviser to Evolvence India Holdings, an India-focused fund-of-funds investment company, on its $65 million Placing and Admission to AIM. Acted for CSF Group plc on the share and asset sales of two of its subsidiaries. Acted for New Venture Partners LLC, a US-based venture capital firm, on its investment in Telepartner Limited. Acted for Streetcar Limited, the UK’s largest pay-as-you-go car club, in connection with an investment by Smedvig Capital. |
