Bob Caporale leads Thomas & Betts Corporation's utility products group, a position he has held since joining the company in 2005.
Mr. Caporale brings more than 15 years of broad utility industry experience to his position. Prior to joining Thomas & Betts, he spent over 10 years with Pirelli Cables & Systems, a leading global manufacturer of high-technology cables and systems for energy and telecommunication markets. At Pirelli, Mr. Caporale began his career in product marketing and held a variety of increasingly responsible positions in marketing, customer service and engineering. Mr. Caporale began his career designing transmission and distribution substations for Commonwealth Edison Company, one of the largest U.S. investor-owned power utilities.
Mr. Caporale earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Northwestern University . He was also recognized by Northwestern with a Certificate of Integrated Arts for his interdisciplinary study of music cognition, music technology and jazz studies while pursuing his formal degree in Engineering .
