Bob Shroder joined Humility of Mary Health Partners (HMHP) in January 1997 as administrator/chief operating officer at the region's St. Joseph Health Center, bringing with him many years of valuable experience in the healthcare operations field. He was appointed executive vice president, operations, Humility of Mary Health Partners, in May 1998, and twice served as interim president and CEO for the region. During his time at Humility of Mary Health Partners he has played a key leadership role in increasing admissions three years in a row, turning a net operating loss in 1999 to a positive multimillion-dollar margin in 2000 and 2001 and successfully completing a management reorganization of all HMHP
organizations that ultimately earned HMHP two national awards, one for demonstrating sustained excellence in nursing care and the other for transforming employee culture. In addition, Mr. Shroder is a member of the inaugural class of CHP's Leadership Academy and is completing this two-year program of study, projects, personal development and mentoring for high potential leaders.
Prior to joining HMHP, Mr. Shroder was the chief operating officer at Barberton Citizens Hospital in Barberton, Ohio. He held this position for over 10 years, increasing the hospital's profit and productivity yearly and implementing several new patient care programs. He was also responsible for a $25 million hospital master facility plan and $3.6 million medical office building.
Mr. Shroder earned a bachelor of science in public administration from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio and holds a master's degree in hospital and health administration with a concentration in finance from Xavier University. He is a member of various professional and community groups, including the American College of Healthcare Executives, the Howland Surgery Center Board of Trustees, the Hospice of the Valley Board of Trustees, the Kent State-Trumball Advisory Council and the Warren Chamber Orchestra Board of Trustees. |
