Robert W. Elliott is president of the Europe, Middle East, Indian Subcontinent and Africa Division of FedEx Express. He is based in Brussels and is responsible for developing and executing all corporate strategies and operations for the Europe, Middle East, Indian Subcontinent and Africa Region (EMEA).
Elliott manages more than 10,490 employees and has a geographic scope of control that spans 123 countries with more than 60 languages across thirteen time zones.
Under Elliott’s leadership, FedEx has expanded its position in the region through the launch of the EuroOne network, the opening of the FedEx hub in Paris, the launch of transatlantic freight service and the acquisitions of PAFEX in India, Flying Cargo in Hungary and the ANC Group - now known as FedEx UK.
Elliott joined FedEx in 1978 and has held management positions in operations and sales including managing director and vice president of Sales for the Central Region in the U.S. and vice president of Sales, Customer Service, Billing and Customer Technology for EMEA.
A native of New Jersey, Elliott assumed his current position in 1998. |
