Robert Stein practices in the areas of business organization, commercial transactions, real estate leasing and finance and loan workouts. A founding partner of Stein & Lubin in 1982, Mr. Stein has extensive experience organizing, reorganizing, merging and dissolving business entities and resolving ownership disputes; resolving troubled loans for both lenders and borrowers; and representing financial institutions, real estate developers, real estate investors, and office, shopping center and business park owners in major transactions. Mr. Stein has taught real estate law and real estate taxation at Merritt College and lectured for the CEB on real estate, tax and business organization topics. Mr. Stein graduated from Yale University magna cum laude in 1970 with a B.A. with highest honors in political science. After a year with the New York City Planning Department, he attended Boalt Hall School of Law at the University of California at Berkeley where he earned his J.D. in 1974. |
